Ferdinand Spring  and Cross Spring

The first group of Marienbad mineral springs is represented by hydro carbonate calcium-sulphate-ferrous acidulous waters. The group includes heavily mineralised springs "Krizovy Pramen" (Cross Spring) and "Ferdinanduv Pramen" (Ferdinand Spring), which are one and a half times stronger than the Carlsbad Spring and are well-known for their therapeutical effects, especially on treatment of various digestive tract diseases (stomach, intestine, gallbladder, liver and pancreas diseases), of metabolic disorders (obesity, gout, diabetes mellitus), then of various allergic diseases, especially those resulting from digestive disorders. 

Ruldolf Spring

The second group is represented by "Rudolfuv Pramen" (Ruldolf Spring), used for its diuretic effect mainly for kidney and urinary tract diseases (inflammations etc.). Rudolf Spring is the most well-known springs in Marianske Lazne. Its calcium content is rather high and the calcium and magnesium ratio is 5:4. As calcium is known to have an anti-inflammatorily effect, Rudolf Spring is used for the treatment of urinary tract diseases. Owning to its high calcium content, the spring represents an appropriate additional therapy to the treatment of osteoporosis.

    Ambrose Spring 

    The fourth group, constituted by ferrous acidulous waters (with bivalent ferrum and a rich content of vanadium), is represented by "Ambrozuv Pramen" (Ambrose Spring) used mainly for the treatment of anaemia and - owing to its diuretic effect - also of urinary tract diseases, mainly lithiasis.

    Carolina Spring

    Also Karolinin Pramen(Carolina Spring) is administered with urological diseases, especially with calciumurolithiasis. Having a significantly higher magnesium content, the effect of Karolinin promen (Carolina Spring) differs from the  Rudolf Spring. The calcium and magnesium ratio of the spring is 2:5 in comparison to the Rudolf Spring. Magnesium has an inhabitive effect on the formation of concrements and enhances a transfer or neurovegetative activity. Forest spring The second group is constituted with hypotonic hydrocarbonate-calcium-sulphate-ferrous acidulous waters. 

    Forest Spring

    Lesni Pramen(Forest Spring), administered both as a drinking cure and an inhalation therapy, is applied successfully in case of diseases of the respiratory tract an can also be used with certain diseases of gastrointestinal and urinary tracts. A creditable record of the Lesni pramen (Forest Spring) effect can also be found with mucous membrane inflammations. A rather astonishing effect of Forest Spring is observed in patients suffering from kidney diseases. As the Lesni pramen (Forest Spring) causes strong alkalinity of urine, an alternative dissolution of cystolithiases formed by urine acid or cysteine may occur. Carolina spring The fourth group, constituted by ferrous acidulous waters (with bivalent ferrum and a rich content of vanadium), is represented by "AMBROZUV Pramen" (AMBROSE SPRING) used mainly for the treatment of anaemia and - owing to its diuretic effect - also of urinary tract diseases, mainly lithiasis. Also Carolina SPRING is administered with urological diseases, especially with calciumurolithiasis.
